Thursday Doors

dsc_1311.jpg

Thursday Doors comes from Ardmore again this week but this time it’s a bit more colourful, as the Summer arrived for the day on Wednesday and the flowers all came out.

Even the ‘living roof’ on the Cliff House Hotel was in bloom.

It wasn’t only the plants that contributed to the abundance of colour – some children having fun on the water put on a pretty bright display.

Of course, I can’t end this post without a red door.

Or without a boat.

Looks like it was a lovely day. We have fog moving in right now. Typical summer weather in the SF Bay Area!

So pretty! All the scenes of summer, hm? Love the kayaks and the ivy and all the flowers, but OH I love the color blue so frequently used on doors and trim there, and you know I love red doors! Great doors! πŸ˜€

Delightful captures – the colors on your photos are so much brighter than the ones from the winter! Was looking for your name, but I didn’t see it, and then went to my work today and lost track of time- one of these days how to reduce a piece of text 800 words, which is much harder for me than to add 88 words, lol! Are you writing this week?

    • I’ve been trying to edit, write, look after a sick dog and a sick daughter………. what a week. Still, it definitely wasn’t boring. The dog is on the mend and my other patient is getting there. Hope you’ve been having a less hectic one!

It was not hectic, but nevertheless eventful. In the beginning of the week I had a scare, as well as yesterday. That’s when I found hubby deep in conversation -already for 40 min. as I found out later (he is hard of hearing and was trying to make out what the person was saying on the phone). When he saw me, he gave me the phone. it didn’t make any sense to me, so I hung up. The person called back right away, not wanting to talk to me anymore. I now know why!
Looong story short, when we asked out tax person to deal with it, he wrote us an email saying that the “IRS” (taxes) never deals on the phone with anything. Phew,we could have lost $300!
The thing I’m most mad about is not even the money, but someone is so brazen to extort money, by pretending to be the IRS. Otherwise everything is peachy keen:):)

        • That was a narrow escape! There are so many scammers out there, very clever, too. If they put half as much effort into legitimate work they would probably be very successful – but then they would have to declare it and pay taxes. My mother lost money out of her bank account because of computer scammers. It wasn’t much as the bank copped onto them very quickly but she had the inconvenience of having to change bank cards, passwords, etc. They did it over the phone, too.

Lovely shots. Looks like a peaceful place to stop and enjoy the view. Loved the red doors and kayaks, but that first pic with the top/bottom split doors is my fave πŸ™‚

BEAUTIFUL pictures, Jean! Those colours are tremendous. So summer arrived for the day? Lol! We’re still waiting here in Cavan. The only colour we have at the moment is grey. Every permutation of it! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜„
