This week’s Thursday Doors is all about Belturbet’s marina. It’s a good way to follow up on the past couple of posts about the barracks wall, as they run alongside each other. There are boats of all shapes and sizes to be found.

Some even have doors, which is a good thing for a Thursday Doors post.

Others may not have any doors but they add a nice splash of colour to the marina.

Then there’s the water fowl, always present but no swans on this day, unfortunately.

Just a short post this time, thanks for stopping by the marina, Dan has some interesting Thursday Doors over on his blog.
I always like seeing doors on boats, Jean. Thanks for including the ducks š

Those ducks and geese are such posers Dan, hard to avoid them when taking a photo.

Boats! That’s a fun take on the Doors theme, Jean. Hugs on the wing.

One of the joys of my blogging experience was when my husband and I, while visiting his sister and her husband in France, were able to meet with a blogging friend and her husband and spend part of a day with them on their boat (houseboat/narrowboat) on a French river. Your post brings back those good memories.

It was. I’ve been blessed to meet at least five or six other bloggers and hope to meet more when Covid restrictions go away. š

Some real beauties here, Jean! At least you can travel and take a ride in your boat during a lockdown? These ducks have an interesting print:) How are things going for you? Is the UK right now in another lockdown, or only England? Keep up your spirits:):)

Alas, we sold our boat a couple of years ago but the marina is just around the corner from our house. We are in Southern Ireland so not in the UK, different types of lockdown. But our grandchildren all live in Northern Ireland and from December 18 we can travel over the border to visit them. I can’t wait š

Had no idea of different types of lockdown per country, even less Northern and Southern Ireland separated! (am thinking too American, haha). Have a wonderful time with your family when the 18th arrives and take loads of pictures:)

We decided to live on a boat a few years ago as we couldn’t find a cottage we could afford. So we bought a small riverboat as a trial. It was lovely but eventually a bargain cottage needing work came up and we love it.
