The arrival of a couple of 1930’s style vintage wedding cars was a pleasant surprise when my grandson, Lukas, was capturing some Thursday Doors photos on his trip to Antrim Castle Gardens. The chauffeurs were very friendly and even posed for him. The two door Silver Beauford had beautiful dark red leather interior while the seven seater Silver Imperial Landaulette had lovely cream seating. I’ll leave a link to their website at the end of the post.

Now, onto some nice images of the gardens. The tree below has been trained to grow in a spiral shape. I love how the shadow makes it look like as if a snake is wound around it.

Crossing the bridge brings us to some beautiful river views.

In the distance you can see a ferris wheel that has been set up in the Market Square of Antrim town for the summer.
Over on Dan’s blog you’ll find a variety of posts from around the globe with lots of interesting doors and buildings. Thanks again, Lukas, for contributing to another Thursday Doors and sharing that lovely vintage surprise with us.
What an interesting gallery today, Jean. The cars are remarkable. I checked their site. I like the idea of being chauffeured in a red Ferrari 😉 While the doors are great, I think I prefer the river views. They look so peaceful. I hope you’re having a wonderful week.

My grandson who took the photos is staying with us for a week so we’re enjoying his company at the moment, which makes it a really good week for us, Dan.

The spiral stem is so fascinating! Never seen anything like that!

It must have taken a long time to grow into that shape.

Love the doors and all the outdoor shots as well. And men in suits? Even nicer. 🙂

Men in suits, lol. As long as they weren’t Men in Black, like the movie.

🙂 I don’t know. Men in a black tux look pretty good.

Looks lovely! Where I live, all is dry and brown so it’s nice to see a greener part of the world!

It’s all the rain we usually get, Jan. Makes everything very green but June has been a lovely month so far.

Wonderful glimpses. I like that snake tree too. Just yesterday I was standing by the road in shade, but it was 36 degrees, for two hours, taking photos of oldtimers whiz by. Result: 300 really not that good photos. 😀 Lucky that I’m not a pro. These two are magnificent.

I think it’s more difficult capturing a shot of a moving object while you stand still than to take a photo of a stationary object as you pass by in a car.

The twisting tree is amazing. Any indication of its age? I cannot imagine how long this grooming must take but obviously an exercise for the patient gardener!

Unfortunately we don’t know how old it is. Yes, definitely takes patience.

Loved the cars, the three-piece suit (haven’t seen a man in a three piece in forever!), the history of the bridge and the view 🙂
Thank you!!
