4.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended, 24 Jun 2013

Kaden, a late teen, woke up after a brutal attack only to find he does not remember anything of his former life. Befriended by a young homeless boy, Jasper, he is taken to a homeless shelter “Soup ‘n’ Sleep”, where things aren’t quite as they seem.
I really enjoyed this book, the connections developed between the characters are warm and friendly. The book takes you along Kaden’s journey as he tries to escape the “ of abduction, conspiracy, exploitation and murder” and make sense of his forgotten life. This is a happy, feel-good book although there are sad bits and scandal. This book is suitable for teenagers and maybe young adults too. I would highly recommend reading this book. I eagerly anticipate the second book in the trilogy.

Intensely Fun

As I read this first installment of the Finding Series, intended for young adult readers, I reflected back on the books I enjoyed as a youth, and I have to say Finding Kaden was a treat. The characters were varied, interesting and alive with details, and the plot was well thought out and flowed nicely. The story unfolded at a comfortable pace, adding layers of complexity and depth in each additional chapter, which I must say I did not expect in a young adult novel. The author’s writing skills were evident with only a few minor glitches in formatting but they did not distract from the narrative. I look forward to reading the remainder of this entertaining series and would highly recommend it to young teens anxious for a clean, thought-provoking novel.
