Still in Trim, County Meath for this week’s Thursday Doors and I’m starting off with a colourful one. Sure how could I pass up a door that’s so vibrantly red?
When you can’t find a red door, a red house will do nicely.
Or an orange one.
This one is probably my favourite of the forty shades of green we have here in Ireland. Forest green comes to mind. The sign on the door depicts the arm of a knight pointing to the entrance. That’s a hint as to what next week’s post will feature. It might not be as colourful but it will definitely be in Trim and in the meantime, there are lots more Thursday Doors over on Dan’s blog to explore.

We must have a similar taste – I like forest green too (to wear), but to paint sap green is the most versatile in combination with other colors I use! Great post, Jean!

I like forest green because it reminds me of the Victorian era and it’s a colour I wear, too.

I had a Rover 2000TC that was a deep shade of green. IIRR, the owner’s manual referred to it as Ardenne Green. [“Ardennes,” actually.] At night, the car appeared to be black. I had it exactly 5 years, to the day.

That was definitely a forest green car. I can see why it would appear to be black at night.

The Rover was my last manual transmission car. I loved its leather upholstery, stainless trim, etc. It was a very well designed and built car, but Rover’s Los Angeles service organization back then was mediocre, worse than BMC.
